Delta Sky. 22 years old. Recent college graduate. Figuring out life.
In May I graduated with a Public Relations degree and am now in the process of getting my masters in the same area.
There really is not much to my life at the moment.
“I am a 22 year old girl who just graduated college and quickly jumped into Quinnipiac's Public Relations Masters program to avoid getting a real job.”
I originally went to school in Rhode Island to play soccer, however getting hurt stopped my sports career and I soon realized my originally dream of becoming a journalist was not exactly the path I wanted to take. I ended up transferring my sophomore year into Quinnipiac's 4+1 Public Relations program and here I am today.
Back track 22 years, I grew up in a small town in Connecticut that is home to yearly high school state championships, six different country clubs, jeep wranglers, and everything preppy in-between. I started working the summer before I started high school and have had numerous internships since then, yet I am still trying to figure out what I really want to do.
In short that is who I am. I am still trying to polish the edges of my life, but that is the journey I am enjoying!
Talk later.
As I mentioned in the corresponding lecture, the key to the module one assignments is audience. How often do you consider the reader when writing?
For module two, I asked you to write an “about you” page for your blog. The module one assignments are first and second drafts for this “about you.”
I asked you to write a short autobiography and a credibility defense for your beat. The beat defense assignment is usually the better draft of an “about you” page because it focuses your writing and story on the interests of your audience.
It “considers” your readers.
Yet the autobiography is still helpful. It sets your mind in motion. It helps you consider possible beats. It helps you…
I love this sentence: “I am a 22 year old girl who just graduated college and quickly jumped into Quinnipiac's Public Relations Masters program to avoid getting a real job.”
I've been working for the last few years but even now doing this grad program, I feel like I'm avoiding the real world in some ways :P
I would've loved if you had added something about why the online dating world piqued your interest. Especially with your humor and candor, a small anecdote could easily be fit in.
