Wikipedia: Millennial Dating

This article is about the form of courtship that today’s millennials call dating.
“Dating is a stage of romantic relationships in humans whereby two people meet socially with the aim of each assessing the other's suitability as a prospective partner in an intimate relationship or marriage,” (Dating, 2018).
In recent years though, dating has become a ‘nightmare’. There are two ways to think about relationships in today’s society. The first being, that when you find something good (a partner) you start to believe that there could be better, so you keep searching instead of seeing the best of what you already have. “Variety appears to be a good thing but actually makes life more challenging,” (Kim 2018).
The other way many look into relationships is that when they find something good, they automatically search for what is bad because nothing can be perfect. These two views have corrupted the true meaning of dating.
Types off Millennial Daters
There are two types of millennial daters: maximizers and satisfiers. Maximizers want to try things out to find the best option while satisfiers are willing to settle even when they know there is probably better.
Texting
With new technology coming out regularly, texting has become the new form of communication for millennials. Texting loses a lot of meaning due to misinterpretations or lack of thought when messaging.
Marriage
Millennials today often question the point of getting married. They value “creating independent identities, careers, and sources of income” and prioritize things like “education, career, travel or life experiences” over having a partner, (Wong, 2018). Marriage certificates have also become less important, as there is no clear benefit or difference from obtaining one.

This is a good idea for an article because it’s not original research. You found studies and other Wikipedia articles to gather as collective, established knowledge. It needs more sources, but it's a solid start.
Your opening could use another rewrite. The word “nightmare” seems particularly biased. I like the writing and description better under your subheadings. It’s more fact-based and shows the beginnings of organization.
If you look at the general Wikipedia article on dating, the history section - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dating#History - ends with the words online dating, which is also a link to its own Wikipedia article. You could use your post to build on either or both articles.
You could also start linking items in the body of…
Hi DS, you've done a great job formatting the article with headers and making it easily recognizable as a Wiki article. Other than one small typo in "Types of* Millennial Daters", I think you touch on a helpful number of points to clarify what's different about dating now to what it once was. I think the article can be improved by sharing more information on those two types as well as presenting more facts on why texting creates such a tenuous environment for communication. (I feel like there must be a study done on how often people misinterpret text messages and the complications that leads to.)
Hey Delta,
Great job with this assignment! I am really enjoying your chosen subject and love to watch you dissect it. I was especially intrigued by the Types of Millenials (small typo there) with the Maximizers & Satisfiers. These terms are great and I would love to read more about them.
There are so many factors at play with Millenials and dating and I think you did a great job covering the main ones. I can only imagine dating today...I have been in a relationship ever since the whole Tinder thing became popular but I can't fathom how crazy that lifestyle is. Overall great job!
Hi Delta!
You did an excellent job with this piece. Not only did you thoroughly inform the audience, but you consistently kept the reader engaged. One area I would focus on giving rationale behind your reasoning is as to why dating has become a "nightmare". Another suggestion would be incorporating a "contents" table, so that the viewer understands the layout of your work. For a second, I was confused as to why it jumped from "Types of (I think there may be a typo right here in your article) Millennial Daters" to "Texting".
Looking forward to your next work :)
